You know that cricket is a game of uncertainty. Moreover, when it comes to India vs Pakistan cricket match, it is all about uncertainty. Yes, after the end of third day of the first test match of India vs Pakistan test series 2007, it is still very hard to decide who is now in the driving seat. India got all out 276 runs and Pakistan could put on 212 runs losing 5 wickets in the second innings.

India started the day with 228 runs for 6 today. However, Danish Kaneria’s excellent bowling did not give any chance to the tail enders of Indian innings. Kaneria took all the four remaining wickets of India today. VVS Laxman remained not out at 72. However, except Anil Kumble, no one could support him to carry on the innings and put on a good total in the scoreboard.

With 45 runs deficit, Pakistan openers brought a good start for Pakistan. In the opening partnership, Salman Butt and Yasir Hameed put on 71 runs. Kumble brought a good break through for India making Yasir Hameed out at 36 runs. However, Pakistani middle order again looked volatile as they lost some wickets within a short time. Salman Butt played an excellent innings of 67 runs before getting out leaving Pakistan 155 for 4. Captain Shoaib Malik failed to build a good partnership at that crucial stage. At the end of the day, Kamran Akmal and Misbah-ul-Haq remain unbeaten with 21 and 29 runs respectively. Pakistan now needs a good partnership between Akmal and Misbah whereas India must have to break this partnership early in the fourth day to keep the pressure on Pakistan. Anil Kumble took three wickets today and he seems to be very dangerous for Pakistan.
