Jaguar-Land Rover Bid from Tata Motors

For the last few hours, I was going through the reports about Jaguar-Land Rover Bid in different websites. It is interesting to note that 3 companies are now in the race and two of them are from India. Now, Tata Motors Limited is considered to be the hot favorite in this bid.

I have covered some about Tata Motors Limited in the past in my two blogs. In fact, the name of Tata Motors came in the media in the last 1 year because of the fact that TATA is planning to bring the cheapest car in the world in Indian market next year.

For many years, TATA Motors was mainly focused to the Indian market. In the last few years, it has become interested about international markets. It entered into partnership with FIAT. Now, with its bid for Jaguar and Land Rover, TATA Motors is indicating that it wants to be a global player in the auto industry.

TATA Motors will have a big challenge to get Jaguar Cars Limited and Land Rover. It has to present a better offer than its rivals. Then, it has to get the support of union leaders of these two companies.

Can Tata Motors do it?
