Kamlesh Sharma: Commonwealth Secretary General

For most people, working life finishes at 65 but for Kamlesh Sharma, life has probably just begun. He has been elected as the Secretary- General of The Commonwealth. I guess that you already know that the Commonwealth is the association of former British colonies and it has 53 members at this moment. This is the first time an Indian will hold the post. So, Kamlesh Sharma must be very happy now.

Rediff wrote:

Kamlesh Sharma, high commissioner of India to Britain and India's representative on the Board of Governors of the Commonwealth since 2004, has been elected Secretary General of the Commonwealth. Sharma will replace Don McKinnon, whose eight-year term as Secretary General comes to an end in March. Sharma will become the fifth secretary general since the Commonwealth Secretariat was formed in 1965.

A retired IFS officer, 66-year-old Sharma is the first Indian to hold the top job in the Commonwealth.

Kamlesh Sharma has an illustrious career and he has extensive knowledge about the Commonwealth countries. Kamlesh Sharma is a confident man and he is eager to support the small member countries of the Commonwealth in the coming days.

If you have talent, experience and knowledge then surely you have to continue your duty and Kamlesh Sharma, the 65 year old young man, is the big example. I am happy to read this news. I hope govt of every country should make some working opportunity for retirement person. I believe that retirement person are unable than young. On the other hand, they have vast knowledge so, they can do any work easily showing their talent.
