The first cultural festival of SAARC member countries will start from 30 November 2007 in New Delhi. Titled "Sounds of SAARC", the festival will include different bands, food and photos from various South Asian countries.

The World Bank and United Nations along with their private partners have launched a Development Marketplace in order to eradicate stigma and discrimination associated with HIV and AIDS in South Asian countries.
