I am not a fashionable person and Vogue is not my favorite magazine. However, many people are fan of Vogue and it is a cool magazine for many people in South Asia. Vogue is so popular in India that Vogue officials decided to have an Indian Edition recently:

The glossy monthly hits the shelves today in over 5,000 outlets throughout 40 towns in India, with an ambitious initial print run of 50,000 – more than double that of its nearest rival.

Vogue India means business and that is perhaps why Vogue India has shocked many people by putting Gauri Khan as its cover girl. Who is Gauri Khan? Gauri Khan is the wife of Shahrukh Khan. Who is Shahrukh Khan? Shahrukh Khan is the husband of Gauri Khan and number one star in Bollywood today. So, Gauri Khan is not a unfamiliar name to Bollywood fans. In fact, Gauri Khan has produced some movies acted by Shahruk Khan.

I do not know what is the definition of 'true Voguette' but I know for sure that Gauri Khan is not the typical dream girl for most people in India. She is 37 years old and she is mother of two children. On the other hand, a typical dream girl for Indian people will be in her twenties and unmarried. This shows that Gauri Khan has something extra ordinary that could attract Vogue India. Of course, many people are interested about the wife of Shahrukh Khan and that is why, I think that Vogue India has taken a smart decision by putting Gauri Khan in the cover.

What I like about Gauri Khan is that she is a very dedicated wife. Shahrukh Khan had to struggle a lot in his career. His success did not come overnight. Gauri Khan was very supportive throughout his struggle to become the top actor in Bollywood.
