Hyundai i20: The Next Big Car for India in 2008?

If you are a regular reader of this blog then you may have noticed that only a few weeks ago, I provided a lot of coverage to Hyundai i10. Hyundai i10 had its world premier in India and Shahrukh Khan was present in the World Premier. In fact, there is an interesting TV ad of i10 with Shahrukh Khan in it. Now, the good news for Indian auto fans is that Hyundai is going to bring i20 in India in 2008. i20 will be made in India and then exported out of India. This is another good news for the auto industry of India.

 Business Standard wrote:

Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) is planning to roll out i20 in India - an upgraded version of the recently launched i10 compact car - by the end of 2008, a company spokesperson said.

Like i10, the i20 will be manufactured exclusively in India and exported to other countries. The i20 model is expected to be priced between Rs 5-6 lakh.

Both the i10 and the i20 models will be manufactured at HMIL’s second plant at Sriperumbudur near Chennai, which is set to be operational in January next year.

Indian car market is growing rapidly and Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) has seen a lot of success in the Indian market in the last few years. Indian government officials should provide all kind of support to Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) so that other auto companies also feel attracted to follow the example of Hyundai Motor India (HMIL).

I am a great fan of car. I like to see new brand car and feel curious to know the function about the car. However, i am curious to know more about Hyundai i20 car. if you know more about it then please inform me. Is is affordable for middle class?

The lines have attracted me those are:
“Both the i10 and the i20 models will be manufactured at HMIL’s second plant at Sriperumbudur near Chennai, which is set to be operational in January next year” and other part is “Indian government officials should provide all kind of support to Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) so that other auto companies also feel attracted to follow the example of Hyundai Motor India (HMIL).”
First, many people get jobs in this plant and the other thing is the support of the Indian government. To setup a new business it is important.

It is good news for the car fans as well as car buyer. The i20 car price may be between 5-6 lac and it will be exported in different country from India. I think the price will be bounded in the buying limit of middle classes people. Although, I could not buy like this car now yet, I want to know about i20 car from your blog.

when is i20 exactly coming to india?. I mean in which month? We are in complete dilemma as to which car to opt.
so please provide complete information about it.

Which month in 2008 is the i20 getting launched?

i think this is very site ,i like very good!
