India vs Pakistan 2nd Test Result: An Exciting Draw

India vs Pakistan second test has ended up with a draw at last. Despite the draw, India still leads in the series 1-0. So, the third and final test of the series will be the last chance for Pakistan to level the series. Today, India set a target of 345 runs for Pakistan with more than 80 overs to bat. However, Pakistan did not take the challenge up and ended up with 214 for 4. Though Indian bowlers raised the hope taking four wickets within 28 runs, two Pakistan batsmen- Mohammad Yousuf and Younis Khan showed sheer resistance against the Indian bowlers.

Two unbeaten Indian batsmen- Sourav Ganguly and Mahendra Singh Dhoni started the day today. Dhoni got out at 37 runs. Captain Anil Kumble declared the innings after Ganguly fell at 46 runs when India reached at 184 runs losing four wickets in their second innings.

India hoped to go for all out attack with their two spinners. Anil Kumble hit twice as Pakistan lost four early wickets. However, Mohammad Yousuf and Younis Khan played with sheer confidence to save Pakistan from losing the match. Younis Khan played another excellent century against India. Younis Khan scored 107 runs whereas Mohammad Yousuf scored 44 runs. The third test of the series will start at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium Bangalore from 8 December.

At last India v Pakistan 2nd test has ended with draw so there will be an opportunity for Pakistan to level the test series. I think the chance has come only for the excellent batting of Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf. Overall, India is forward than Pakistan by 1-0 in this series. So, it seems to me that India may win the test series.

In the fifth day, the stage was set to see an excellent finish of the Kolkata test. However, India and Pakistan failed to present an exciting end in the second test. Now, I am hoping that the third test will bring out much more excitement among the cricket fans
