Nepal is a very poor country and most its population can never dream of flying in the sky. So, you may get surprised to hear that in the last one year, the number of Airlines companies flying to and from Nepal has increased significantly. Well, Nepal has two things- Mount Everest (highest mountain in the world) and Lumbini (the birth place Lord Buddha, founder of Buddhism). So, many foreigners are interested to visit this country.  

Orient Thai Airlines is a budget airlines in Thailand and it mainly carries out its operation in some South East and South Asian countries. Thailand is a Buddhist country. So, many Buddhists in Thailand are eager to visit Nepal, the birth place of Lord Buddha.

Kantipur Online reported:

Orient Thai Airlines, a budget airline from Thailand, is beginning thrice-weekly flights between Bangkok and Kathmandu from December 18. The carrier is the ninth airline to enter Nepal's skies over the last 13 months.

“The flights will be operated with 170-seater MD-82 aircraft,” said Ajay Simha of Orient Asia International, the general sales agent of the airline in Nepal.

This is surely good news for Nepalese tourism sector. Because of political stability, now many foreigners are interested to come here.
