Six months ago, Shilpa Shetty denied of having any relationship with London based businessman, Raj Kundra. At that time, she used to say that her relationship with Raj was only professional; now, the actress admitted that she has been dating some one though she did not mention any specific name. Daily Mail reports:

"I am dating somebody," says Shilpa, shyly. "I have known him for some time but I have only just started to know him better.

"I hope he will be the one but I don't want to say too much because it is still very early on in our relationship."

It is pretty clear that the man in question is Raj, a London-born entrepreneur, who, it is claimed, has made a fortune with jewellery and film businesses here and in India - although few formal records of his wealth exist in this country.

Shilpa Shetty’s had a serious relationship with Bollywood hero Akshay Kumar. They were about to get married but for some reason it did not happen. After Akshay, she did not have any serious relationship with anyone. Till 2007, Shilpa was not very popular in Bollywood. Her luck changed after she won the UK based reality show, Big Brother. She and Raj met after Big Brother.

I need someone to woo me. Magazines are always saying I am beautiful and millions of men want to woo me, but none has come forward because they are all so scared.

"I can go to a party and sense that men really like me but they are in awe of me and won't come and ask me for a date. Being an Indian actress is bad enough but now I'm a celebrity in the UK it's too much. It would take a really secure man to handle the media attention."

"I'm eulogised by a lot of men, but they wouldn't take me home to meet their mothers," she said.

32 year old Raj Kundra is a London based businessman. Previously he was married to Kavita and they have a daughter named Deelena. Kavita accused Shilpa Shetty for her break-up with her husband. Following the accusation, Raj gave a public statement in which he apologised to Shilpa Shetty and her family and requested Shilpa’s mother not to pay attention to the rumors.

Before his relationship with Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra was not very well known. His business includes jewellery and film production. Raj Kundra is the main man behind launching Shilpa Shetty’s perfume, S², and her new DVD on yoga. He also took care of Shilpa Shetty’s musical tour titled “Miss Bollywood.” Recently, he produced a Hindi movie titled, Strangers.

Both  Shilpa and Raj are of the same age. The couple was first spotted in June during the launch of Shilpa’s perfume S² and in Leeds in the IIFA award. In her interview with the Daily Mail, Shilpa also defended herself against claim of breaking the marriage of Raj Kundra. Digital Spy reports:

The Celebrity Big Brother winner was accused of stealing her new boyfriend Raj Kundra after his ex-wife Kavita gave an interview to a tabloid earlier this year.

"I was really upset by what she said," Shilpa told the Mail On Sunday. "She knew very well that I didn't even know her husband when she walked out on him.

 "I didn't even know him when I went into Big Brother. I have known him for about only six months, which was four months after his wife had left home and he had already got a divorce by then."

When Shilpa heard about this accusation she said that she was dragged into this mess and she would take legal action against Kavita Kundra.

At present, Shilpa is staying in Las Vegas with her family spending quality time shopping around and spending money. 

After so many years of struggle, Shilpa’s career sky rocketted in 2007. Now, in 2008 what will happen? Will she settle down with someone she likes? Let’s wait and see.
