Resources about Profile of Bilawal Bhutto

Bilawal Bhutto is just 19 years old but he is a big celebrity now. Many people are searching about him. Bilawal Bhutto is the New Chairman of Pakistan People's Party (PPP). I was searching information about Bilawal Bhutto in Internet and here I like to mention two websites in this regard.

The first one is from BBC- Profile: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Here, you can find detailed information about him.

BBC wrote:

While friends of Benazir say she always envisaged Bilawal becoming her political heir, they agree that she would not have wanted him to have to bear that burden so young.

Only 19 years of age, Bilawal is still some way from completing his education.

He has followed his mother to Oxford University, where he studies history, and he says he will complete his studies before entering the maelstrom of Pakistani politics.

He is described as a keen sportsman, enjoying cricket, shooting, horse-riding and Taekwondo.

The second thing I want you to read is an interview of Bilawal Bhutto: Family victim of delayed justice, says Bilawal. This interview was published in August 2004.

I am giving a part of it here:

When asked if he had immediate plans to take a plunge into politics, following in his parents' footsteps, Bilawal sounded skeptical as he said: "We will see, I don't know. I would like to help the people of Pakistan, so i will decide when I finish my studies."

When probed as to what the young man understood by serving the people, his reply was: "I can either enter politics, or I can enter another career that would benefit the people."

"I think there wouldn't be such a problem if a dictator doesn't come and take over after every couple of years. That contributes to backwardness and poverty. Democracy is the only way out. The founder of Pakistan believed in democracy. He did not believe in dictatorship, and Pakistan was not founded for that. So there shouldn't be a dictator," he said.

Time also has a nice report: Bhutto's Successor - TIME

So, read all of them and you can have a better idea about Bilawal Bhutto.

It is really a tender age to take over such a big responsibility. So, it may be a tricky decision of Pakistan Peoples Party to avoid all the controversies regarding the leadership issue. Bilawal Bhutto is still on his teen and it is really a huge job to take for a person of that age. However, it is perhaps the most possible option PPP has ahead of them and I think, Bilawal Bhutto has a good political career in future.
