
Though sex not confirmed yet, news is out that pop diva Christina Aguilera and husband, Jordan Bratman, welcomed their first child. Aguilera gave birth at the
Aguilera and Bratman made the announcement to close friends and family via text message around 4pm on Friday.
"Baby has arrived. Mom and dad are doing well," the text read.
Christina didn't release the baby's name immediately keeping in line with her top secret pregnancy.
Nicole Richie, the star of the reality show, Simple Life has also given birth to her daughter in the same hospital. Nicole and her boyfriend, Joel Madden, welcomed their first daughter, Harlow Winter Kate Madden. Courier Mail.com.au reports:
The 40-year-old Thorne-Smith named her boy Jacob Emerson.
Richie's adoptive father Lionel Richie and half sister, Sophie, were seen visiting the hospital before the birth, as was Madden's Good
Richie's baby girl reportedly weighed about 3kg and was healthy enough to go home.
"The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents," a spokesman for the couple said.
Christina Aguilera first rose to success in 1998 with her song “Reflection,” one of the sound tracks of a Disney produced animated movie, Mulan. Her rise to stardom started in 1999 with the album, “Christina Aguilera”. Released in August 1999, the album made it to the Billboard 200 and Canadian album charts. It sold eight million copies in US and 13 million around the world. In her second album, “Stripped” Aguilera came under the media limelight not for her voice but for showing her body. Aguilera and Bratman met each other and started dating in 2002. After seeing each other for three years, they announced their engagement in February 2005 and married in November 2005. News of her pregnancy started to spread when the singer was in Australia. Because of her pregnancy, she had to cancel the world tour, and shows in Melbourne and New Zealand. Many are expecting the baby to be a son because Christina Aguilera bought a blue-themed baby shower.
