Bangladesh: Corporate Bazaar 2008

Earlier today, I attended a press conference about Corporate Bazaar 2008. The press conference took place at the Hotel Sarina in Dhaka, capital city of Bangladesh. If you want to know about Corporate Bazaar 2008 then you should visit this website:

http://www.corporatebazaar.com

Corporate Bazaar is a fair that is meant for big companies in Bangladesh. This is perhaps the only fair that is related to corporate culture in Bangladesh. This is the third Corporate Bazaar and in the last two years, a number of companies participated in the event.

About Corporate Bazaar 2008, I am quoting from the official website:

Being leaders of the corporate internet service providing business, aamra networks limited, long felt the need for an event such as the Corporate Bazaar. The Corporate Bazaar is a special exhibition of business to business products and services, and is arranged exclusively for those who influence business decisions. The Corporate Bazaar recognizes the special needs of business buyers, and thus is arranged so that decision makers get a clear idea of what is on offer for them and pick out the suppliers who meet their special need, and high expectation. After the successful completion of Corporate Bazaar 2006 and Corporate Bazaar 2007, aamra networks limited is set to arrange Corporate Bazaar 2008. While the upcoming event’s main aim is still to bring together those with special needs with those who satisfy those high expectations, under one roof, the 2008 event promises to be bigger with many more special offers and exciting attractions..

Corporate Bazaar 2008 is going to be arranged by aamra networks. At the press conference, Russell T. Ahmed talked about different aspects of Corporate Bazaar 2008. Russell T. Ahmed is the convener of Corporate Bazaar 2008. He informed the reporters that Corporate Bazaar was the only corporate fair in the country. To encourage interaction among people in the corporate sector, there will be no admission fee or ticket at Corporate Bazaar 2008. Anyone with a business card would be able to enter the fair.

Russell T. Ahmed also did a presentation on Corporate Bazaar 2008. He said that a special initiative had been taken to build industry-academia relationship. Some bright students of 20 universities have been invited to attend a seminar. They would also be able to give their CVs to the big companies so that they would be considered for job. Mr. Ahmed said that all the big companies would offer special corporate packages in Corporate Bazaar 2008.

Syed Farhad Ahmed also spoke on the occession. He talked about the relationship between aamra networks and Corporate Bazaar. He said that the main challenge in the business sector of Bangladesh is the lack of professionalism. He hoped that Corporate Bazaar 2008 would be able to address this issue. He said that aamra networks was interested to include all the stake holders of the business sector in Bangladesh. He praised the ordinary people of Bangladesh and said that here, people are very obedient workers and they are satisfied with the basic necessities of life. He viewed that Corporate Bazaar 2008 would help to create a bridge between the industry and the academia in Bangladesh. He informed that this time, they would try to address the issue of Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO). He talked about the possibilities of BPO in Bangladesh.

I am quoting a paragraph from the press release:

The most exclusive event of the Corporate Bazaar is the Corporate Leaders’ Meet arranged by aamra networks limited will bring together the top decision makers of the corporate world under one roof. The evening is going to be attended by over 250 business head of the leading business houses operating in the country, exclusively invited for the occasion (scheduled on 10th February evening). Corporate Leaders’ Meet is the prime event of the Exhibition and this time the discussion topic is ‘Business Process Outsourcing’ – potential for Bangladesh. Interactive discussion takes place between the panel members and the audiences who are the chief executives of the corporate houses of the country.

Then there was a question answer session.

I attended Corporate Bazaar 2007 and wrote about it in this blog. I hope toi visit Corporate Bazaar 2008 and write about different aspects of Corporate Bazaar in the next few days.
