Australian cricketer Brad Hogg has gone into retirement from international cricket recently. The left arm chinamen bowler was almost a regular face of Australia’s ODI team since Shane Warne’s retirement from ODI cricket. Though he was regarded as an ODI specialist, he was awarded a place in Australia’s test squad against India in the recent test series as Stuart MacGill was out of action with wrist injury. Hogg revealed his happiness being selected for the test series against India because he started his career in India.

Hogg played 121 ODI and 7 test matches with 154 and 17 wicket in ODI and test cricket respectively. The statistics does not show that he was one of the great cricketers, but the fact is that he had a lot more dominance over the opposition than what his career statistics shows.
