In the last few days, I have covered a lot about the fuel crisis in Nepal. If you are a regular reader of the blog then you already know that the fuel crisis happened because of a political strike called in Southern part of Nepal by Madheshi leaders. The strike continued for nearly two weeks and it paralyzed the Nepalese economy to some extent.
The good news is that the strike has ended and the government and Madheshi leaders have reached to a deal to solve the problem. You can read more about this matter in the two reports:

I am happy for this but I am not totally optimistic about peace in Nepal. All the political parties in the government are not equally happy and what I can see is that there has been some kind of peace arrangement only for the time being. What Nepal needs is a comprehensive discussion among the two sides and a full-fledged peace deal.
