We hear about corruptions of government officials and political leaders in many countries of the world. Nepal is not an exception to this. Nepal may be one of the poorest countries in the world, but its government is perhaps one of the most corrupt ones. Now, there is report that Nepal’s king and his family stole money from a charity fund that was meant to be used for conservation of nature.

BBC reported:

The National Trust for Nature Conservation was until last year named in honour of a former king, Mahendra, and was chaired by Crown Prince Paras with his father, King Gyanendra, as patron.

An investigative committee has now concluded that the royals spent huge amounts of trust money on travels abroad, lavish parties, and health check-ups for Queen Komal in British clinics.

 Well, in the same BBC report I found that the accusation against the king and his family was brought by Maoist elements in the current Nepalese government. However, the king and his family have been accused of many other corruptions. So, I will not be shocked if some money of nature conservation fund had indeed been stolen by the king and his family.
