If you are a regular reader of this blog, you will have noticed that I have covered the problem of Madheshi community living in the Terai region of Nepal a number of times. One of the big problems for these people was that a large number of Nepalese people live in this region but they do not get enough facilities from the Nepalese government. It seems that this may change in the coming days.
The Madheshi political party has done very well in the election and has got most of the seats in Southern Nepal. Now, they have enough votes and parliament members to put pressure on the new Nepalese government. So, they will soon demand for a separate state and let us see if they can get what they want.
