King Gyanendra: Time to Go?

The picture of election results of Nepal is becoming very clear. The Maoists have won a large number of seats and very soon 335 seats will be allocated to different political parties based on proportional vote. It is expected that the Maoists will become the largest party in the new parliament of Nepal. Even, may also have a convincing majority in the new parliament. We have to wait a few days to get the final picture of the parliament.

One thing is for sure is that the Maoist want King Gyanendra to exit from power. They want that King Gyanendra resign and abolish monarchy. Now, one of the top leaders of Maoist party, Baburam Bhattarai has openly called for King Gyanendra to resign and step down in an honorable way. He stated that his party would ensure that Nepal becomes a republic as soon as possible. So, it seems that the time for King Gyanendra is running out.
