It seems Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar’s rough patch is not yet over. Recently, the appellate tribunal of PCB upheld the five year ban imposed on Shoaib Akhtar last month. Following the five year ban, the fast bowler appealed against the ban to the appellate Tribunal of PCB against his ban.
Though the tribunal does not restrict the pacer from playing in IPL, the IPL authority is not interested to allow a banned player in the tournament. Shoaib was supposed to play for Kolkata Knight Riders. However, Kolkata team authority has revealed that they will accept any decision taken by IPL regarding this issue.
The Hindu reported:
"We just want to be very careful that we observe all the guidelines and codes of the IPL," said Joy Bhattacharjee, Marketing head of the Knight Riders.
Kolkata will miss a number of foreign stars halfway through the tournament because of their international duty. So, losing Shoaib Akhtar would be another blow for the team.

No, Shoeb Akhtar will not play because of PCB. PCB still did not free him from restriction.
