June is not exactly an ideal time for cricket in South Asia. It is the time of rainy season in most parts of South Asia. Well, June 2008 is going to be an exception for cricket fans of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. First, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan are going to take part in a tri-series in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Then there is going to be Asia Cup in Pakistan.
Indian selectors have announced Indian squad for these two tournaments. Well, there are some surprises. There will be no Sourav, Sachin or Dravid.
The players are:
Mahendra Dhoni (captain), Yuvraj Singh (vice-captain), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma, Robin Uthappa, Suresh Raina, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Praveen Kumar, Piyush Chawla, Shantakumaran Sreesanth, Rudra Pratap Singh, Ishant Sharma and Pragyan Ojha.

I was surprised to see the squad of India team. Many young players have been selected ahead of the tri-nation series. Indian batting tri is missing form the squad. I can't understand how is possible. MS Dhoni will lead these young but experienced team. Can he lead his team with rag-tag players?
