It seems that from now on, we will need to talk more about double digit inflation in India. For the last few years, many people talked a lot about double digit economic growth. It did not happen and it is unlikely that it would happen in the next year or two. However, double digit inflation is now a reality and all the people in India are now living with this reality.

This is a nightmare for the people in India. Leaders in the government are perhaps more worried because general election is next year. However, I think that there is hardly anything that government can do because the price of oil in international market is showing no sign of decreasing. Price of food items is not decreasing either.
