I wrote a cover story for a magazine (Computer Bichitra) about call center in October 2004. It was one of the earliest in depth write ups in Bangladesh about the call center industry. In 2008, BTRC opened this industry for Bangladeshi entrepreneurs. So, there is a lot of interest about call center in this country. Well, many educated young people have the dream to work in call centers and get a decent salary.

Some entrepreneurs are interested for earning some dollars. On this Saturday, I went to a conference on call center. Quite a few people turned up for the event. They want to pay some money for registering the event. Still, I was amazed to see the enthusiasm among them about call center industry.

Yes, we have the dream but we have to work very hard to materialize it.
