After seeing extensive success of Hyundai i10 in India, Hyundai Motors has now decided to make India its small car hub. The South Korean automaker is going to introduce its upcoming model i20 in the Paris Motor Show in September. Like i10, Hyundai i20 will also be manufactured in India. Here, it is noteworthy that Hyundai i10 was the first car from a foreign company, which is solely manufactured in India. Since the launch of Hyundai i10 last December, Hyundai India experienced huge growth in its small car segment over the last few months. Hyundai i20 will be launched in the B segment.

Economic Times reported:

"We have a very clear picture about the Indian market. We want to use India as our small car hub. India will be used for manufacturing and export of our small cars," Heung Soo Lheem, managing director of Hyundai Motors India Ltd said.

India has one of the fastest growing car markets in the world and Hyundai has a strong presence in Indian car market for a number of years now. It is expected that the upcoming launch of i20 will only strengthen Hyundai’s market share in India.
