Now, at the end of the first test, it is pretty sure that spinners dominated the match but, the surprising fact is that only Sri Lankan spinners were in action, while Indian spinners failed to gain any momentum. So, question comes if it was the ability of Sri Lankan batsmen who successfully played the Indian bowlers or if the Indian bowlers were not up to the mark. All the credit goes to Sri Lankan spinners Muttiah Muralitharan and Ajantha Mendis who picked 16 wickets among 20 in two innings. Indian bowling line-up was useless. They seemed worst than road-side player. I think after this series, Indian selectors will give more priority on their bowling development. To get achievment in any Test bowling department should have to keep important role in the match.
