In April, the first Pakistani movie, Khuda Kay Liye, was released in Indian theatres. Now, another Pakistani movie, Ramchand Pakistani will be simultaneously released in the theatres of the two countries on 1 August.  Khuda Kay Liye deals with post 9/11 effect on a Muslims while Ramchand Pakistani focuses on the political barriers between two countries. Ramchand Pakistani is going to be the first movie to enjoy a simultaneous release in Pakistan and India.

BBC reports:

The Indian actor Nandita Das, who has worked in many regional films and has a big part in this one, told the BBC it was fantastic to work in Pakistan. She said the film would help Indians know more about Pakistan.

"They know a lot about us through Bollywood but we don't know them enough," she said.

The film deals with the parents of an eight-year-old boy who inadvertently strays onto the Indian side of the border and is put behind bars.

Though political rivals since the 1960s, India and Pakistan share many common characteristics including their languages. Three times, the two countries engaged into war with each other. However, Indian cinema and actors and actresses are very much popular in Pakistan. Pakistani singers and pop bands are also very popular in India.

People of both countries suffered due to this political rivalry. A good political relationship will increase trading and business and develop the economic condition of the two countries.
