Rupert Murdoch announces STAR TV's expansion plan in India

Yesterday, Rupert Murdoch, owner of STAR Group Ltd., announced to invest $100 million to open six new regional television channels in India. Currently, STAR TV has 17 channels in India. In a press conference held in Mumbai, the 77 year old

‘Media- Moghul’ said that the expansion project will start from next year. Mr. Murdoch arrived in India on July 30th and met with Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh and Congress Party leader, Sonia Gandhi.
