Pakistan’s triumph in the recently concluded twenty20 world cup 2009 is now considered as a major boost to Pakistan cricket which has been struggling because of uncertain security condition in the country. The Lahore terror attack on Sri Lankan team bus last March left Pakistan isolated in world cricket as no other cricket playing nations are now interested to tour Pakistan due to its tumultuous security condition. In fact, the country was stripped out of its world cup hosting status, and ICC Champions Trophy was relocated to South Africa, though the tournament was originally scheduled to take place in Pakistan.

Former captain Javed Miandad thinks that Pakistan deserves to get back its world cup matches after their victory in twenty20 world cup. Another former captain Ramiz Raja thinks that this victory has come as a source of happiness and celebration for the Pakistani people. No doubt, the triumph would definitely bring some happiness in the cricket crazy country.

Still, I do not think that other cricket playing countries would like to tour Pakistan until the security condition of the country improves.
