Despite the fact that Sri Lankan government is engaged into a massive infrastructure rebuilding program after the devastation of Tsunami, Sri Lankan GDP growth remains to be healthy (in the range of 5%-6%). ADB thinks that for , civil war is a larger threat than Tsunami.

The only good news for Nepalese economy according to ADB report is that in FY 2007, GDP growth may reach to 3.4%. This will happen only if Nepalese government can manage to reach a peaceful solution to the violent conflict.

Pakistan had 8.4% GDP growth in FY2005 (ended 30 June 2005) and it was the highest in the last two decades. However, ADB has predicted a growth rate of 6.5% for FY 2006 and 7.3% for FY 2007.
