Bhutan Observer: Bhutan gets its second Private Newspaper
I really feel honored and highly satisfied to write for this blog as I can present my readers the achievements of South Asian countries. Nothing gives me more satisfaction to report about Bhutan's land mark events like opening up the media by the Bhutanese government. Last month, I wrote about the publication of Bhutan Times, the first newspaper of Bhutan. Today, I feel happy to write about the publication of Bhutan Observer, the second newspaper of Bhutan. Her Royal Highness the Princess Ashi Sonam Dechen wangchuck was present in the launching ceremony on 2 June 2006.

Bhutan Observer will be published on Fridays. I could not find any website of the newspaper and this is the main limitation of Bhutanese Newspapers to me. I strongly urge the owners and editors of the two private newspapers of Bhutan to set up an Internet edition of their newspapers without any delay. I am very happy to see that Bhutan Observer is going to focus a lot to cover the news of rural areas of Bhutan.

ITS GUD TO SEE THAT BAFRA IS DOING GRATE JOB. BUT THE INIFORM OF THE DEPARTMENT IS VERY VERY CHEAP. IN-FACT I BEING AS A CITIZEN OF THE COUNTRY I PERSONALLY FEEL THAT IT IS GOING AGAINST THE PRESERVATION OF BEAUTIFUL CULTURE AND TRADITION OF THE COUNTRY, AS IT IS TRYING TO DO SOME MODIFICATIONS ON OUR NATIONAL DRESS. I THINK YOU SHOULD REMOVE THE STICKERS ON THE SOLDERS AND ON CHEST. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE GOVT. CARD I DONT THINK YOU HAVE TO MODIFY YOUR UNIFORMS IN THAT PECULAR STYEL.
WHAT DO YOU SAY BARFA OFFICIALS.

Hello People,
I am a journalist working at the most circulated English Daily of Bangladesh www.thedailystar.net

Learning from the internet, I have become wel-wisher of Bhutan, although I never visited this country.

I would like to come to Bhutan for a few weeks or even a month, because I truly believe a visit of couple of day as tourist does not give you enough opportunity to see around and know more about the culture and people.

I would very much appreciate any offer of temporary and voluntery work at an English newspaper or news media in Thimpu or Paru. Please email me at starnil@gmail.com with more information on reasonable and convenient accomodation in Thimpu.

Thanks in advance

Hello, every body, i'm looking for a job in Bhutan as customer care or tour operator any job in airport security as i'have three yrs experience in USA as security officer in cruise line. thank you all.Any msg just email to me .

Bhutan is doing amazing progess in many fields.

It is definitely a landmark for Bhutanese media. Bhutan is a small country and has fame for its tourism sector. The more their media expands, the more people will know about Bhutan and its tourist spots. The newspapers should also have internet versions so that people from around the world will get to know about the country, which will be beneficial for Bhutan itself.

Sir, I am writing this to alarm the new government that some corruption is going on with RSTA officials. I found that if we pay Nu.5000/- the driving licence is being processed by some of the official of the RSTA. One of my friend was murmuring that he/she had already paid the amount and waiting for licence. This is one way of money making by some official there and a day light robbery to us. The concern is that the government revenue is going to someone's else pocket. Just find out by the concerned authority if this is true other wise I will prove and the concerned authority has to undergo in the hands of law. Thank you.

May God Bless To All Santient Being !
