![]() If a country wants to promote tourism then it must make quality content available in
Internet about its tourism. I often feel that South Asian countries (even mighty India) is not far behind than western countries in this regard. However, I really feel very happy that at least I am wrong about one country- Maldives. First of all, there is an excellent website by Maldives Tourism Promotion Board (MTPB). Then you can download the e-book 'Maldives Visitors' Guide' at free of cost from this link. This 50 page e-book is a comprehensive and attractive guide for any visitor who wishes to visit the country. It has all the necessary information for a visitor and at the end of the e-book you can find a directory of tourist resorts. I found just one minor problem- in page 32, the text did not seem to be clear enough to me.
I wish that all the South Asian countries could learn from the initiative of Maldives and they ordered their tourism departments to make better e-books about their tourism sector. I will gradually cover the tourism websites and contents from other South Asian countries in the coming days.
