This is the popular belief that men are more tech savvy and the tech world is supposed to be a male dominated world. Well, it may be the case in the tech world but blogging world seems to be different and I got totally shocked to read a news item in several websites that 32% bloggers are male. Let me quote from the report:
"According to an Internet survey, blogging has more female addicts than male, with over 68 per cent of bloggers being women. Although it is picking up in popularity with adults, blogging is still largely the domain of teenagers with nearly 58.8 per cent of bloggers worldwide falling in the age group 13 to 19."
So, you can see that I have not invested this statistics from my own imagination. May be, I am something missing here. Anyway, I have seen in Internet too that many freelance writers are female.
Well, that may be the case in the blogging world but not in South Asia. I have not so far found many blogs by female bloggers from South Asian countries like Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bhutan.

It's amazing. Just when I thought there's more of us males who are blogging, all of a sudden we are only about a fourth of the whole blogging population.
I don't know if you've heard about this. I know I've read this report in some blog but I can't remember the url. It says there's more Japanese bloggers than all of the other bloggers combined. Even I can't believe that idea but his statistics and report seemed credible enough.
