Yes, readers, I really feel very happy to inform you that Nepal’s tourism sector is warming up again! Nepal is world famous for its hospitality. On 5th July, Wednesday, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) jointly, organized a press conference in Beijing to inform the Chinese travel trade operators about their latest tour programs. In that conference 140 tour operators and media representatives were present.
"Naturally Nepal - Once is not enough" -- under this brand the Nepalese tourism sector is promoting its tour programs. The Nepalese tourism personals informed their Chinese counterparts that special attention will be given on promoting the tour of Buddhist religious sites.
Among Nepalese officials Suresh Pradhan, Charge de Affaires, Nepal Embassy, Govinda P Pandey, secretary, MoCTCA were present in the meeting. Mr. Pandey said that Nepal would not leave any stone unturned to make the tourists visit memorable and pleasurable.
In June 2006, due to the political crisis the number of tourists dropped by 2.2% in April 2006 in comparison to April 2005. Things started to change in June 2006. There are many hotels, resorts and shops and various other business organizations that are related with the tourism sector. Many Nepalese people work in these organizations. The development and prosperity of the tourism sector means more work and more money for the Nepalese people.
Readers, let us hope and pray that this political stability lasts forever and Nepalese people can lead a healthy life.
