Nepal is one of the greatest tourist destinations in the world. It has 7 of the top 10 highest mountain peaks in the world. This is perhaps enough to attract large number of tourists. The only thing Nepal needs is political stability and this seems to be a tough ask as the country had suffered continuous violence for the last one decade. However, for the last 5 months, Nepal has total peace and calm. For this, tourism sector has stared to reap the benefit. Financial Express reported:
“Nepal's tourism business has improved considerably during the past six months after the government and the rebel Maoists announced a ceasefire, with Indians accounting for the bulk of the tourists.
Tourist arrivals to Nepal by air increased by 14.5 per cent in 2005-2006 as against a decline of 17.8 per cent in 2004-2005, according to a report published by the Nepal Rastra Bank.”
Hopefully, this trend will continue and tourists will visit this country even in arlger number. If you are planning to visit any place this December then I would strongly suggest you to select Nepal. Nepal has now the finest condition in terms of political stability and you will enjoy your visit.
