![]() Bhutan government is never crazy for having many tourists in the country. For Bhutanese government, environment is more important than tourism. Well, this is changing as western people are now getting more interested to visit Bhutan because of its rich natural landscape and cultural heritage. Bhutan government has made a distinction between the peak season and the lean season. According to a report of Kuenselonline.com, March-April and September to November are the months belonging to peak seasons while the other months belong to lean seasons.
Since, people in the outside world know of the attractions of Bhutan of peak season, most tourist come to this country during this time. For the tour operators this is increasing becoming a very big problem. They have too many tourists to handle during the peak season while at the lean season, they have to sit idle. Accommodation is becoming a problem during the peak season and that is why some tourists are forced to stay in sub-standard farm houses. Well, many tourists enjoy being in a farm house but it is a bad thing for the tourism sector. Also, getting a large number of tourist guides is another problem.
So, Bhutan should promote tourism all the year round.
