Really, Bhutanese royal family should be considered as a role model to other royal families in the world. If you look at the European royal families, then you can find that some of the members are involved with all kinds of scandals. They have more close relationship with Paparazzi than the common people. On the other hand, Bhutanese queen went to Austria recently and tried to promote the economy of the country. IHT reported:
“A queen of the tiny Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan wrapped up a private visit to Salzburg, where she met with business leaders in an effort to encourage more Austrian development and investment, officials said Saturday.
Queen Ashi Sangye Choden Wangchuk's visit was organized by the Austria Bhutan Society and the federal province of Salzburg, officials said. Partners With All Nations, an Austrian organization that works to foster better ties to the developing world, also was involved.”
Even it is not big news in the media. I am happy that Queen Ashi Sangye Choden Wangchuk is dedicating her time and effort for the people of her country. I also hope that her visit will make Austrian people more interested about Bhutan.
