It looks like Hollywood celebrities are becoming more and more interested in South Asian countries. Few days ago, Angelina and Brad Pitt visited India; and now, it's Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. The newly married couple just finished their wedding ceremony in Rome and arrived at Maldives for honeymoon. Their wedding ceremony was held in Castle Bracciano, a fifteenth century castle outside Rome. Because of their huge popularity, the couple wanted to keep their honemoon news a secret. In Maldives, Tom and Katie are staying on a yacht, Arctic P, with their daughter Suri Cruise. The yacht is anchored near the island of Male. Not every day the people of Maldives see a Hollywood celebrity in their country so their arrival has already made the residents very curious. They are now eagerly waiting to meet with Tom and Katie. The couple brought 40 pieces of luggage, and lots of toys. OOOHH!! QUITE A HONEY MOONER!!
Well I do not know their cause of choosing such a place as their honeymoon destination but I am very happy that they have done it. Maldives is a small country with 1200 islands and tourism sector is the major foreign currency earner here. The country had suffered a huge economic loss in the 2004 Tsunami. Now, if everything goes well then Tom and Katie would motivate a large number of people from different western countries to come here. Just a simple honeymoon can change the lives of so many people. I wish Tom and Katie a great honeymoon!!!
