If you are a regular viewer of Bollywood movies then you would definitely know the BOLLYWOOD COMEDY KING GOVINDA, a k a CHI CHI BABA. This actor turned MP has recently caused serious agitation among the people of Bandra in Mumbai. I am quoting from the report published in Times of India:

The Congress is equally upset with the actor-MP as they expected him to be present at a meeting convened that day to discuss important issues.
Arjun Chhabria, a resident, said some people had put up a stage outside the Jogger's Park in the morning. At noon, the peace was shattered by blaring loudspeakers and residents realized it was a programme by actor Govinda for his soon-to-be-released film Bhagam Bhag.
"The road was blocked on one side and there was chaos as people started milling around," said Chhabria.
Deepa Dhruv, another resident of that area, said that they talked to the police and found out that the police had no option but to give permission as the organizers acquired all clearance for the promotional event. The event also included a “Treasure Hunt” competition. The sad part of the story is that Govinda did not pay attention to the problems of the people and attended the program. On that same day, the Congress had an important meeting. Instead of going to the meeting, Govinda attended the program which also upset the Congress officials.

I do not know how the organizers got clearance to hold the promotional program but what happened was definitely not right. It was a residential area, not a place for public gathering. Before holding such a program, Govinda and the organizers should have given a thought about it.
