However, Amitabh Bachchan totally denied this claim and felt very much irritated after hearing this. Apun Ka Choice reports:
In an interview Ehsaan, one-third of the composing trio Shankar Ehsan Loy is quoted as saying that Bachchan did indeed ask for the change of voice as he wanted to continue with Shankar's vocals after Kajra re in Bunty Aur Babli and Rock 'n' roll soniye in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.
Bachchan completely denied Ehsaan's claim.
"This is a load of rubbish. I'm not aware of any change in the title song's vocals. I performed to what was given to me. Everyone knows, at Yashraj Films nothing moves without the consent of Aditya Chopra," the Big B said heatedly, adding that he finds such compact controversies a total waste of time.
The movie, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, is a story of two strangers who meet at London Station when they come to pick up their respective fiancés. In this movie, Amitabh Bachchan is acting along with his son, Abhishek Bachchan. Amitabh Bachchan has made a special appearance in the movie. He performed in the title song “Jhoom Barabar Jhoom.” The promo of the movie has been broadcast in different cable channels and people are enjoying Amitabh Bachchan’s new look in the song.
Daler Mehendi, who sang the title song of the movie, was very upset after he found out that his song has been removed from the movie and he also believes that Amitabh Bachchan can not give such instructions. The important issue here is not finding out the perpetrator but this whole event serves to be an example for the film makers. From now on, they should be a bit more cautious about making such decisions. Why hiring a singer in the first place when the filmmaker will not include his play back song? Isn't this is a bad mark on the reputation of the singer? What do you think?
