India's captain position both test and ODI is not permanent. Selectors are chosing new names ahead of the new series. I think it is not good for cricket. and it can hurm any team. So, Indian selectors should select any captain who can show India team in a right way.

The choice of making Anil Kumble as the captain of the Indian national team was a retrospective step. The reason for it is his age, and because Kumble seems a reactive, rather than a proactive captain, who is astute and an effective leader of men. Kumble is a quality bowler, who's greatest asset is his line and length. His captaincy also seems to have a steady approach, based more on predicability, rather than the willingness to experiment, when things do not go India's way. This position was clearly reflected in the manner Kumble set his fields in the First Test Match against Australia, and was expecting things to happen, rather than making, or trying to make things to happen. That is why the national selectors of India should have thought of Indian cricket for the next ten to fifteen years, and appointed a player, who had the talent, flair, and attributes to captain the team, and who was also able to contribute to the national team as a player for the next ten to fifteen years. Based on this decision, I believe that Indian cricket has has not benefited, because it gives the message of negativity, rather than a positive one, which does not make the young up and coming cricketer in the Indian national team, and squad to feel, and believe, in a positive way, which is so important in their developmental phase, in order to help them to become quality players in the future.
